    Somerville Bicylce Committee Tour de Somerville

    September 20 2pm Tour begins at the Assembly Ampitheater

    On Saturday, September 20th, Somerville Bicycle Committee will hold its 22nd Annual Tour de Somerville! This year's theme is Rivers and Rails a 12-mile tour of the Mystic River and Green Line Extension route, beginning and ending near the new Assembly Row MBTA station. The ride will meet and leave from the Amphitheater at Assembly Row, near JP Licks (333 Great River Road). Refreshments provided by Red Bones and Assembly Row and escorts generously provided by the Somerville Police.

By Bicycle
Biking to Assembly Row gets prettier and prettier with the change of the seasons along the new bike path on the Mystic River. Bike lanes have been included along the main arteries and will be integrated into the neighborhood as it unfolds. Plenty of bicycle parking is also available along the streets, in front of some of the stores, along the park and covered parking is available in every garage! Weather-protected bike racks are on the second level of the Artisan Way garage.

Parking to shop at The Marketplace? There’s plenty of FREE parking directly in front of the Marketplace. Coming to visit The Row? You have several FREE options! Parking is plentiful at Assembly Row. The FREE parking garage located on Artisan Way provides ideal access to the heart of the neighborhood, outlet stores, restaurants, AMC, and LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Three FREE parking lots are also available with entrances on Foley Street. This is the best parking for Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Brooks Brother’s Factory Store, Le Creuset and other outlets. Want to park on the street? Please remember that the meters on the street are owned and monitored by The City of Somerville and are working!
